Legal
Terms
These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use Inviteroo (formerly Gatheroo and RSVP Sorted). They’re short on purpose. Nothing in them takes away your rights under consumer law.
Inviteroo is run by its two founders, Louis and Steven. To contact us, or to make a complaint, email hello@rsvpsorted.com.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or over to make an invite or buy credits. Anyone can reply to an invite they’ve been sent.
Be decent
- Only invite people to real events you’re organising, and only share invites with people you’d invite.
- Don’t use invites for spam, scams, or anything unlawful, threatening or hurtful.
- Don’t put other people’s personal details on an invite without their agreement.
- Don’t upload or describe other people’s characters, logos, artwork or music you don’t have the rights to, or ask for a song in the style of a named artist.
We may take down invites, songs or designs that break these rules, and anyone can report an invite from its page. Our content rules say what can go on an invite, how we deal with reports and how to appeal if we take one down.
Paid extras
Making an invite, sending it and collecting replies are free.
Credits pay for optional extras: a personalised song, a custom design made from your description, or a premium design. Each costs one credit, and every account’s first song is free. The price of each pack of credits is on our pricing page and shown before you pay, and nothing is added at checkout. Credits don’t expire.
You pay by card on a secure Stripe page. Your purchase is agreed when your payment goes through, and we email you a receipt.
Songs aren’t available for memorial invites, and custom designs aren’t either.
Your right to cancel
You can cancel a purchase of credits within 14 days of the day you buy them, without giving a reason, for any credits you haven’t used yet. Email us with your order reference, or send the form below, and we’ll refund each unused credit at its share of what you paid for the pack within 14 days, to the card you paid with.
Songs and designs are made for you straight away. Before we use a credit, or your free song, to make one, we ask you to tick to agree that we start now and that you lose the right to cancel once it’s made. Once it’s made, you can’t cancel that credit, but you keep your rights if something is wrong with it.
To: Inviteroo, by email to hello@rsvpsorted.com. I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the supply of the following digital content: [credits, with the order reference]. Ordered on: [date]. Name: [your name]. Email address: [the address on your account]. Date: [today’s date].
If something goes wrong
If a song or design can’t be made, or a design doesn’t pass our checks, the credit (or your free song) comes straight back to your account.
The law says what we supply must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If a song or design isn’t, tell us within a reasonable time and we’ll make it again or, if we can’t put it right, give you your credit or your money back.
Songs and designs we make for you
Personalised songs, custom designs and party videos are made with AI tools from what you tell us. We say so before you pay, songs and custom designs are labelled on invites as made with AI, and a party video’s link says so too. We check designs automatically, and a person checks some, but no one listens to every song before you do, so please check yours.
Songs and designs we make for you are yours to use for your party and to share, including on social media, for anything lawful. You can’t use them to train AI, sell them as music or artwork on their own, or put them on music streaming services, or in films, TV or radio. If you post a song on a platform with rules about labelling AI-made content, follow them.
AI tools can make things that look or sound like others’ work, so we can’t promise a song or design is unique or that anyone holds copyright in it. We may show what we made for you on your invite and keep it until the invite is deleted.
Gift ideas
After guests reply they may see gift ideas from partner shops. These are ads, labelled (Ad), and we may earn a commission. Your purchase is with the shop, under its terms. How we earn has the details.
The service
We work hard to keep Inviteroo running, but it may sometimes be unavailable while we fix or improve it, and we’re not responsible for whether guests turn up.
We’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We’re not responsible for loss that wasn’t foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t let us limit. If digital content we supply damages your device or other content because we didn’t use reasonable care and skill, we’ll repair the damage or pay you compensation.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. You can delete yours at any time from your account page.
Changes and the law
We may update these terms as the service changes. We’ll change the date at the top, and tell hosts by email before a change that affects anything they’ve already paid for.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts there.
